Kitchen respray project completed in Bangor – A fresh new look
One of our most recent projects involved giving a kitchen a new lease of life with a respray on the carcass, doors, and drawers in the wonderful F&B colour Pavilion Grey.
Before
After
There was nothing wrong structurally with the kitchen so it didn’t need to be replaced but it was easy to see that a new colour would give it a much-needed facelift and improve the room as a whole.
Why respray rather than replace?
We find that the majority of customers are happy with the layout of their kitchen, it’s in perfect working order, and they are, understandably, reluctant on forking out thousands upon thousands to replace a kitchen. That’s why you call us!
We start by dismantling and labelling all your kitchen doors and drawers, then cleaning the carcass of your kitchen. The prep work is vital to ensuring a fantastic finish which is why we first use a degreaser to clean off any old grease on the surfaces and follow that up with using an alcoholic based cleaner to make sure we have any small traces of dirt or contaminants removed.
Next up is the taping of the cupboards, protecting the countertops and walls and basically any surface we don’t want to paint. This is perhaps the most important part of the job as it is of the utmost importance to be sure paint is only hitting the surfaces we want.
After that is completed, the carcass is checked for any damage and repaired with filler where needed, sanded to create a key for the paint, tack clothed to remove any dust and finally it is ready to spray. The doors and drawers are loaded up and will be prepped and painted in our workshop and returned as swiftly as possible.
What else do we do?
For those customers struggling to decide on a colour for their kitchen – If you have booked and paid a deposit with us for a kitchen respray, you may choose two colours from the Farrow and Ball range and we will take two doors from your kitchen, spray them and return them to you so that you may make an informed choice.
We believe not only does this set us apart from the competition but having two resprayed kitchen doors allows the customer to properly visualise how their new kitchen will look in the end. As choosing the colour can sometimes be the most daunting part of the work, we hope to eliminate the struggle of this for our customers!
